Tokyo – Kuraray Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Hitoshi Kawahara; hereinafter “Kuraray”) hereby announces its decision to donate approximately US$45,000 to the NGO Polish Humanitarian Action (PAH)* and approximately US$45,000 to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) for humanitarian assistance related to the situation in Ukraine.

Poland is hosting a large number of people displaced from Ukraine. The Company’s U.S. subsidiary MonoSol, LLC. is constructing a new plant in Poland, and has decided to make these donations to the above NGOs in order to provide humanitarian aid in the country.

Furthermore, MonoSol, LLC. and Kuraray’s subsidiaries, Kuraray Europe GmbH, and Kuraray America, Inc., will match employee donations.

The Kuraray Group fervently hopes that the world will return to peace and safety as soon as possible.

*Polish Humanitarian Action (PAH) – A Polish NGO that has been working since 1992 to provide humanitarian aid.
